Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the rich culture, history, and contributions of Hispanic and Latin communities.?My own life and my family have been shaped by our rich heritage.?Just over a year and a half ago I was lucky enough to receive a heart transplant after being diagnosed with sudden heart failure.?It was a sudden and scary experience, but the strength of my family and those around me replaced all the fear with hope.?I have been given the greatest gift and with that an opportunity to share the importance of organ donation and how these benefits have a vast ripple effect touching so many lives.??Hispanic Heritage Month is a powerful reminder of the importance of community, culture, and connection. By emphasizing the significance of organ donation, we can foster a greater understanding, encourage more individuals to register, and ultimately save more lives with such a powerful gift.?It’s about celebrating heritage while also embracing the spirit of giving that is fundamental to our culture.
