Rana Sajjad, a Columbia Law School alum (LL.M. 2002), is the Managing Partner at Triage Law, a Lahore-based commercial and arbitration law firm and the Founder & President of the Center for International Investment and Commercial Arbitration (CIICA), Pakistan’s first international arbitration center. He is a dual-qualified lawyer (licensed in New York and Pakistan) having over 20 years’ experience of practicing law in Pakistan and the U.S. in practice areas including contracts, cross-border transactions, commercial litigation and domestic and international arbitration. Sajjad is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and an accredited mediator of the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI). Wendy Cai is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.?Her practice focuses on patent litigation and international arbitration in a wide range of fields, including telecommunications, software, green energy, security networks, robotics, logistics, consumer electronics, and pharmaceuticals.?She has represented clients in a variety of international arbitration proceedings, including those before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).? ? She received her Juris Doctor in 2018 from Columbia Law School, where she was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and the student Editor-in-Chief of the American Review of International Arbitration.? Gustavo Favero Vaughn is a partner at Cesar Asfor Rocha Advogados, in S?o Paulo, Brazil, where he focuses his practice on complex litigation, especially disputes before Brazil’s highest courts, and commercial arbitration. Gustavo worked for nine months as an international lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, in New York City, after he secured his LL.M. degree at Columbia Law School, in 2022. He has also a Master’s degree from the USP - Universidade de S?o Paulo School of Law, and regularly teaches arbitration at the Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets (Ibmec). Meet ARIA’s Alumni Advisory Board!????? ?? ??Alessandra Mistura | Policy Analyst, OECD - OCDE ?? Alessandra?is a Policy Analyst in the Sustainable Investment Unit of the OECD’s Investment Division. Her research is focused on ensuring alignment between international and domestic investment law and policy frameworks with sustainable development objectives. Prior to joining the OECD, she worked as a Programme Lead for Inclusive Economic Development with the IDLO - International Development Law Organization, where she managed the Investment Support Programme for Least Developed Countries, and as a Programme Officer with the International Senior Lawyers Project (ISLP), providing technical assistance and capacity building to governments on international investment law and policy. She was also a research assistant with the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI), conducting extensive research on investment treaties and sustainable development. Alessandra?holds a law degree from the Università degli Studi di Parma, a LL.M. from Columbia Law School, and a Ph.D. in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute. ??
