On this World Humanitarian Day, we honor the bravery and dedication of humanitarian workers across the globe who risk their lives to help those in need especially our team in Sudan. Since the war erupted, ARAHA has been on the frontlines, working relentlessly to provide food, medical supplies, and other essential aid. The lack of humanitarian corridors has made their mission incredibly difficult, forcing them to navigate dangerous territories without the safety and support these corridors would typically offer. As our Sudan Field Director, OSMAN SULIMAN poignantly stated, "The delivery of life-saving essentials has been hindered by security issues, putting both our staff and the people we serve at constant risk."
One of the most significant setbacks occurred when ARAHA's Feeding Center in Wadi Madani had to be suspended after the city was overtaken. Yet, this setback did not deter the resolve of our team. Demonstrating remarkable resilience and commitment, the Feeding Center was relocated to Kassala, where it now supports over 3,000 people, providing a lifeline to those struggling to survive in these dire circumstances.
Recent developments have brought a glimmer of hope. Mediators, including the United Nations and the African Union, have welcomed new pledges from the warring parties to improve humanitarian access across Sudan. These commitments are crucial for ensuring that aid can reach the most vulnerable populations, offering a much-needed lifeline amidst the ongoing conflict
On this World Humanitarian Day, we ask for your support. Join ARAHA’s Sudan Relief Campaign and help us support our heroes fulfill their visions. Together, we can bring hope to those who need it most. https://lnkd.in/gVN_NjYF
