  • From ARMI co-founder, Dr. John L. Ross, Jr.: LinkedIn Nation! Another early morning flight on a Sunday. I'm heading off to North Carolina to teach a Planning and Scheduling course, followed up immediately with a Root Cause Analysis course for a corporate client who is advancing the education and the expectations of its leaders. Two things about this 'week to come' that stand out. I have two very dear friends who, over the years, have provided me with timeless quotes; and, I get to use them both this week. First, my colleague Steve Gowan has said for years that we ought to teach "Scheduling and Planning." As Steve says, people are natural planners, its the scheduling we struggle with. Secondly, my good friend Mark Jolley said years ago in a class I was co-teaching, "World-Class companies are world-class problem solvers." Both of these quotes will get a workout this week! Enjoy whatever corner of the globe you are in. I'm anticipating another great week!

  • LinkedIn Nation! Announcing the formation of our next squad for ARMI's (the American Reliability & Maintenance Institute) Certified Planner/Scheduler class. You may recall that those attending don't have to pursue the certification, maybe they just want to take the best planner/scheduler course available. If certification is in your plans, this course is the start of the program. March 25-28, Francis Tuttle Technology Center, Oklahoma City, OK. I'd appreciate any shares of this post to get the word out to those who want 2025 to be the most impactful year possible. Come join me. Enrollment link below. https://lnkd.in/guMcHcs9

  • From ARMI co-founder, Dr. John Ross: LinkedIn Nation! My wife and I were heading to the airport at 4:30 a.m. today. I commented on the heavy traffic heading both North and South on the highway at that hour. These are the factory workers, the medical staff, truck drivers, cops, and the folks that keep this country moving forward I said. I think alarm clocks were invented by the men and women that make our life better and safer. They get up early, put their pants on, and go to work. I was glad that the guys running the de-icing trucks made it to work this morning.

  • From ARMI co-founder Dr. John Ross: LinkedIn Nation! I'm performing a Storeroom Effectiveness Assessment in Arkansas this week, and my associate is performing a storeroom 5S workshop at the same time. The facility purchasing agent made an Amazon order on Monday and it arrived today! We will be conducting the next storeroom training class in Oklahoma City, April 8-11. This is part of Certified Storeroom Manager/Technician program and its also a public MRO best practice course. Come and join us. Let's make 2025 the year we finally turn our storerooms around!

  • LinkedIn Nation! Professionally uplifting story. I'm at a client site, teaching the ARMI Certified Maintenance Manager/Technician for a specific group (we take this program on the road). This is a picture of me and Ryan. Ryan was asked he if wanted to attend the class, he asked his boss who was teaching it. He was told John Ross, and Ryan said I want to be in that class. Ryan has all 3 of my books in his Amazon shopping cart. He told his wife that he was going to attend this class this week and that I was teaching it. His wife went to his shopping cart, bought The Storeroom Roadmap, 32 Processes for Efficiency and Sustainability, and then wrapped it to surprise her husband, Ryan. I signed this book for Ryan this morning and asked if I could take a picture. Look at Ryan. That is what a leader looks like. Hungry for training and understanding. He is wanting to make a bigger difference for his company.

  • LinkedIn Nation! Remember I traveled to a site last week to award 5 ARMI Certified Professional Reliability Engineer certifications to awesome professionals? Well, I was right back there today awarding another one to this incredible associate...Ricky Bray. As you can see from the background image, I am about to start an on-site presentation of the Certified Storeroom Manager/Technician training to this company's up-and-comers. There is such a demand for these ROI-generating training and certification programs, that my colleague Justin Smith and I have taken elements on the road and bring the training to you! Congratulations Ricky, and congratulations to those who have decided to make a big and positive difference to their storerooms!

This company is tearing this up. What did you do today to advance the professional education and expectation of your team? Come join us. This ARMI is moving out!

  • LinkedIn Nation! I think some of you know this. I was a unit commander in the Air Force and nothing made me more proud than to pin a medal on someone's chest, or present them with their new 'stripes' during a promotion. Absolutely, the best part about being a commander, in my humble opinion (or, IMHO, as the kids say). I spent this morning signing certifications for a group of six folks at a company just East of here. Tomorrow (and you will see pictures) I get the honor of hand-delivering those certifications to the six who have earned their Certified Professional Reliability Engineer titles. The last time I was able to hand-deliver certificates was for three outstanding professionals at Butterball in Carthage, MO. My colleague at the American Reliability & Maintenance Institute (ARMI) and his wonderful wife are responsible for the very elegant portfolio creation. I know the wonderful folks I get to spend time with tomorrow with be as impressed with the actual certificate as I have been impressed with them over the course of their work. I have one question for everyone reading this message. What is keeping you form elevating your education and elevating your expectations in 2025? Join the ARMI. We are on the move!!!

  • LinkedIn Nation! Once again I find myself calling on this incredible network of professional associates to help me spread the word. My colleague with the American Reliability & Maintenance Institute (ARMI), Justin Smith and I, are announcing the creation and soon to be open enrollment for the world's very first Certified Maintenance Data Analyst program. I am attaching the ARMI training program calendar for 2025. (holding fingers about 1 inch apart)...we are about this close to certifying the 100th person across the spectrum of ARMI offerings. Help us raise the awareness, the abilities and therefore, the expectations of your team members through exceptional training and mentoring. Please re-post and help make a difference. With an ARMI certification, you associate will make a difference on DAY ONE! Reach out to me for more information: [email protected]
