The Drug Enforcement Administration &?U.S. Department of Health and Human Services?announced that flexibilities for the prescribing of controlled medications via telehealth have been extended through December 31, 2025. This third extension of COVID-19-related flexibilities allows additional time for the DEA to consider feedback on telehealth rules proposed in 2023. APNA has consistently supported efforts to extend these flexibilities and applauds this extension. I am a little late posting this but wanted to share! Jennifer Belk MHI, BSN, RN, PMH-BC and I did a podium presentation at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association conference! We shared the great work we are doing here at Harding Hospital to address workplace violence and support our staff. Additionally, 2 members from the Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) presented a poster. The poster reviewed the profound impact BERT has had at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center over the last 5 years and what is to come.

"Dissemination of Evidence-Based Research:?It is imperative that PMH nurse researchers focus on the problem of youth suicide and disseminate these findings through publications and presentations. Nursing journals should consider publishing special issues in youth suicide prevention to disseminate evidence-based research findings and interventions to nurses at all levels of practice."
