AMLA is licensed only in the State of Ohio. The Mission of the American Mutual Life Association is To provide mutual aid, protection and security for its members and their families through affordable insurance and stable financial products To promote, preserve and perpetuate the common bond of Slovenian language, heritage and culture To sponsor fraternal activities for the benefit of its members To support those communities wherein its membership resides through acts of benevolence and volunteerism

Historical Note: The AMLA Home Office was the sight of an effective lobby campaign by the United Americans for Slovenia in 1992 to help get US recognition of the fledgling Republic of Slovenia. Volunteers from around the region worked together contact US officials to gain support of the recognition of Slovenia as a free and independent nation. #amla4life

Historical Note: In 1991 and 1992, The Republic of Slovenia was born out of a collapsing Yugoslavia. Recognition as a free and independent state was not guaranteed. Volunteers who were part of the United Americans for Slovenia worked to lobby public officials for that recognition. The group was headquartered at the AMLA Home Office. #AMLA4Life

It is with sadness that the AMLA mourns the loss of a Board Member, Lodge Officer, Member, and Friend. Jim Mannion served on the AMLA Board of Directors since August of 2010 at which time he was elected by his fellow Members to serve.
