The 3rd annual American Ruck took place last weekend and was a huge success! We were blown away by the support from the community, our company, and our generous sponsors. Thanks to everyone who participated we were able to raise funds for Paws Assisting Veterans, a local group who helps to place service dogs with veterans, and the Canby Kiwanis Club for their annual toy and food drive. On top of this participants were encouraged to fill their ruck sacks with canned food, which we collected and dropped off at the Canby Center for our local food pantry. Watching people empty canned food from their ruck sacks brought the biggest smile to our faces! None of this would have been possible without our American Metals Family! We are so thankful for the team members who volunteered their time, to those who participated, and those who still donated even though they couldn’t make it. Thank you all for making this year’s Ruck a success! American Metals Corporation is pleased to announce that the dates have been set for the 3rd annual American Ruck! The American Ruck is a 7 mile weighted walk that we host annually to recognize, remember, and honor the sacrifices of our Military Veterans and First Responders. This years proceeds will be donated to?Paws Assisting Veterans, a program that connects service dogs to veterans in our state, and the Canby Kiwanis Club to help support their community food and toy drive. The Ruck will be taking place on November 2nd at our Canby American Steel location and we would love to extend the invite to you all!
