The Leader In Supporting Military Resale
关于我们
The American Logistics Association (ALA) is a voluntary, nonprofit organization of manufacturers and their representatives, brokers, distributors, publishers, and other companies that sell or provide products and services to the military resale systems and MWR/Services. Our Mission is to promote, protect, and enhance the military resale and quality of life benefits on behalf of our members and the military community. Through our unique partnerships with the military resale systems, MWR, suppliers, distributors, and military patrons, ALA has become industry’s "First Call" when dealing with the complex issues of navigating the military marketplace. The military channel comprised of Commissaries (grocery stores), Exchanges (convenience stores, department stores, food concessions, gas stations, communications and electronics, wine, beer and spirits, ship’s stores, tactical retail outlets), Morale, Welfare and Recreation sales and services (restaurants, child care, fitness centers, libraries, auto service), Veteran’s Canteen Service (retail outlets in VA Hospitals and offices), constitutes a business environment with nearly $20 billion in annual sales. This marketplace is worldwide, world class, and offers a world of opportunity. Doing business with the government can be a daunting task. Our staff of experts translate difficulty into opportunity for our members. We host a series of networking opportunities during the course of the year that allows our members to meet and network with the leadership of these diverse organizations. We provide advice, research, and operational information critical to driving successful business opportunities, and provide "results driven" advocacy to protect the military resale system and these critical earned benefits. Membership is easy and the results will be a solid return on your investment. For more information, please contact ALA at https://www.ala-national.org/contact/default.aspx. We look forward to serving you.

ALA supporting broad coalition effort to limit Section 301 tariff, port and other moves being contemplated by the U.S. Trade Representative — Ensuring a secure supply chain for military families. ALA is joining a broad coalition to push back against trade policies that could disrupt the supply pipeline for military personnel and families—especially in remote and overseas locations. ?? Why it matters: Commissaries and exchanges rely on a stable logistics network to deliver essential goods to service members worldwide. ALA is working closely with DoD, industry partners, and government agencies to keep products flowing without unnecessary barriers. ?? What’s next: ALA is mobilizing stakeholders to address tariff, port, and logistics challenges to maintain a strong and stable supply chain for military communities. ?? Trump Nullifies Biden’s Federal Contractor Minimum Wage Order ?? On March 14, President Trump issued an Executive Order rescinding Biden’s 2021 mandate that raised the minimum wage for federal contractors. This rollback is expected to have significant implications for military base operations, commissaries, and exchange programs. ALA has actively advocated for this change, citing the burden of increased costs, higher prices for troops and families, and reduced job opportunities. With this nullification, ALA is pressing for immediate policy adjustments to align wages with local prevailing rates.
