A 7-day education program sponsored by the ALA to educate PA female high school seniors about leadership and civic duty.

In one week, rising female high school seniors form an independent state government in which they elect their peers as officials, run their own businesses, develop media outlets, cultivate political platforms, and debate legislature. One citizen is elected as the governor of the state and two citizens are chosen to go on to the ALA Girls Nation program. Our mission is to empower young women across Pennsylvania so as to be a force for good in whatever field they pursue.
