Bar Mitzvahs are meant to be joyous milestones, but for former hostage Erez Kalderon, this week’s celebration was bittersweet. Taken captive with his father Ofer during Hamas' October 7 attack, Erez was released after 52 days—but Ofer remains in captivity more than a year later. Hamas terrorists have torn too many families apart. We must bring Ofer and the remaining hostages home now! AJC.org/BringThemHome

Today, Hezbollah killed seven people—three Israelis and four foreign nationals—by firing rockets indiscriminately at communities in northern Israel. Supported by Iran, Hezbollah has been attacking Israel with rockets for 391 days, endangering everyone living in the country. Israel has a responsibility to defend its citizens against this ongoing terror. https://lnkd.in/etau3qtr

Make it make sense: Turkey, an outspoken friend of Hamas, attacking Kurdish targets - neutral headline. Israel, striking Hamas terror targets - villain. Media bias is real, it’s dangerous and it’s unacceptable. https://lnkd.in/eXteTHfn

Former hostage Mia Schem continues to bravely share the horrors she endured in Hamas captivity. Her story is a call to action: over 101 hostages still remain in Gaza. Every day in captivity is one too many. We must bring them home. AJC.org/BringThemHome

At 85, Shlomo Mansour is the oldest hostage in Gaza. As a boy, he escaped the Nazi-inspired Farhud pogrom in Iraq to now being held by antisemitic terrorists as a senior citizen. A talented carpenter, devoted grandfather, and loving husband, Shlomo’s life was shattered on October 7 when Hamas terrorists kidnapped him from his home. Today marks 389 days in captivity. We must bring Shlomo and all remaining hostages home immediately. AJC.org/BringThemHome

It’s a sad reality that in 2024, Jews in America feel the need to hide their identity. Our latest State of Antisemitism in America report shows that 1 in 4 Jewish Americans have concealed their Jewish identity in public out of fear of antisemitism in the past 12 months. We must continue to fight hate and bigotry until we create a world where no one feels afraid to be themselves. https://lnkd.in/gQPQ-F2r

In the wake of Yahya Sinwar's death, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu offered the remaining Hamas members—now leaderless—safe passage out of Gaza in exchange for the release of the hostages. They chose to keep fighting. It should be clear to the world what Hamas’ priorities are. https://lnkd.in/eqmYngfN

When an expert on genocide speaks, we should listen. Since its publication in 2008, Father Patrick Desbois' "Holocaust by Bullets" has become a common phrase for the early phase of the Holocaust in which 1.5 million Jews were executed by Nazi mobile killing units in Eastern Europe. He has led his organization, Yahad-In Unum, to investigate thousands of mass graves and interview victims, witnesses, collaborators, and perpetrators. So when he denounces the genocide charges against Israel as "propaganda," you can take him at his word. The genocide charges against Israel serve only to demonize the Jewish state. Those pushing this narrative don't care if it’s true, as long as it turns people?against?Israel.

In a powerful testimony at the UN, former hostage Amit Soussana courageously recounts her harrowing abuse and torture by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. These stories are difficult to hear but must be told as we continue to fight for the release of the remaining 101 hostages. AJC.org/BringThemHome
