AITC proposes regulatory framework to address insurance carrier use of third-party data and predictive models, including those utilizing AI. The proposal was submitted to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Third Party Data and Models Task Force. Our proposal introduces an attestation model framework designed to ensure that insurers using AI from third-party providers comply with regulatory guidance as outlined in the Model AI Bulletin. This framework requires insurers to annually attest to their compliance, reinforcing the Task Force’s primary goal: ensuring that insurers remain accountable for adhering to insurance laws and regulations while utilizing third-party data and models. Our proposal also aims to enhance regulatory oversight and protect consumers effectively. We look forward to a robust discussion! AITC publishes “AI algorithms at a glance.” With all of the questions and often confusing information surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI), AITC is providing a useful “AI algorithms at a glance” resource. The experts at Charlee.ai, one of our Founding Sponsors, responded with the thought leadership provided below as it relates to the insurance industry. As part of our education efforts, we wanted to share this with our friends, supporters, and insurance regulators who are grappling with these complex issues. We hope you find this resource useful. We formed AITC in 2021 to ensure that every stakeholder in the development of regulatory policy involving AI, predictive analytics, and other forms of digital innovation, has an effective voice with state insurance regulators, state legislators, and other policymakers. For more information visit our web site: www.americaninsurtech.com AITC serves as an educational and policy development resource to encourage and promote a modern regulatory environment for insurance products and services across all lines of business. #insurtech #modernization #artificialIntelligence #AI #insurance #innovation #regulation #compliance #NAIC #fintech
