One River North in Denver is still making headlines with its impressive canyon-like crack feature in the fa?ade of the building. STRUCTURE Magazine dives into the CHIPS system that made this possible along with the structural design challenges that the entire team overcame. Spanning nine acres, the expansive rooftop garden is not just a beautiful addition; it plays a crucial role in environmental stewardship. With over 409 trees, walking paths, and spaces for collaboration, this rooftop habitat enhances employee well-being while providing significant ecological benefits. The Getty Center, Los Angeles California – worth another quick look. Completion Date: 1997???????????Size: 1,500,000 sq ft.?????Application: Waterproofing Overlooking Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean, The Getty Center is both a cultural landmark and architectural masterpiece. Costing $1 billion and taking five years to complete, it is the largest single-phase construction project in the history of Los Angeles. The 24 acre museum campus is composed of six, two-story buildings that extend underground and are linked by a network of subterranean corridors. A series of plazas, gardens and terraces, largely above occupied space, rise and fall in a myriad of different levels and configurations.
