She saw I was running late and would have to miss breakfast and she ran a cup of coffee out to the car for me. The kindest act I’ve seen in years frankly. She is the highest caliber associate and just a good person. ??AHM November 2024 Spotlight?? Meet Alexis Boegner! She has been with the Courtyard by Marriott East Lansing Okemos for 6 months and has already proved to be a huge asset to the team! Thank you Alexis for all that you do :) “Alexis has been with us for 6 months as a F&B Bistro Bartender and Barista mainly working the PM shift. Alexis has wowed us with her "outside of the box" thinking and her determination to not only increase F&B sales but to promote the hotel in many different ways. The YTD F&B sales have increased by $12,627 while occupancy has been down YTD by 4.4%. Alexis is a major contributor to the increased sales! She gathers corporate information and leads with casual conversations with guests and reports to the sales department. She has actively been enrolling new Marriott Bonvoy members by striking up conversation and having Marriott collateral handy to pass out. This past month she was successful in enrolling 15 new Bonvoy members! This is not an easy task when slinging drinks and cooking burgers! Karen Cheadle has been with the team before the hotel opened. Climbing stairs to set up rooms for occupancy and training with the Marriott International opening team to ensure success from day one! During Covid-19 restrictions, Karen assisted with covering the hotel front desk shifts when occupancy and arrivals called for it along with maintaining the guest rooms upon check out. Her dedication to her department and maintaining the high level of cleanliness expected at PLNCY has led to our hotel winning multiple awards, along with 4 years of perfect scores with our Brand Standards Audits.
