The American Gear Manufacturers Association is an association of companies, consultants, and academicians with a direct interest in the design, manufacture, and application of gears, couplings and related power transmission components and equipment. Founded in 1916, AGMA is a member and market-driven organization, conducting programs and providing services to the gear industry and its customers. AGMA member companies currently number more than 495. They include gear manufacturers from the United States, Mexico, and Canada, as well as gearing interests from more than 30 countries around the world. AGMA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute to write all U.S. standards on gearing. AGMA is also the Secretariat (Chairman) for Technical Committee 60 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). TC 60 is the committee responsible for developing all international gearing standards. In addition to the holding the position of Secretariat, AGMA convenes (chairs) the active ISO Working Groups related to gear inspection and testing. AGMA is on the cutting edge of all gear industry-related technology with a focus on growing the next generation of engineers through technical committees and AGMA Foundation scholarships. AGMA continues to literally set the standard. Its open standards development process is tailored to the global marketplace. The association is managed by a Board of Directors and Executive Committee Officers. Members also serve on Business Management Committees and Technical Committees. A full-time staff of 12 association professionals is headquartered in Alexandria, Va. But AGMA also offers much more. Attached is a picture from ISO Technical Committee 4, Subcommittee 8, Working Group 9 "Bearing calculation methods". The group met face to face on November 21 in London where they discussed 4 open projects and spent most of the meeting resolving comments on a the working draft for ISO/WD TR 25165, Rolling Bearings – Method for calculating the rating life with additional consideration of surface distress. Happily we were able to resolve all the comments with a few minutes to spare before the end of the meeting.

Awards Gala, our CEO, Alejandro Pardinas, officially received the prestigious 'Executive of the Year' award, granted by the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce during its 44th anniversary celebration in Miami. The gala brought together distinguished representatives, including U.S. Congressman Carlos Giménez, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, and leaders from renowned institutions and companies across Florida and Spain. This recognition highlights Alejandro’s exceptional leadership and celebrates the collective efforts of the Atlantic Bearing Services and ABS Wind team, whose dedication has been instrumental in our success. In his heartfelt speech, Alejandro Pardi?as acknowledged the extraordinary work of the Chamber, emphasized the importance of fostering business connections between the U.S., Spain, and Latin America, and credited the ABS team as the foundation of all successes: "This award is for our incredible team—the cornerstone of our success and the driving force behind our growth." We also extend our warmest congratulations to Iberdrola-Avangrid for being honored as Company of the Year. Their remarkable contributions to advancing renewable energy and sustainability continue to inspire us. A special thank you to Monica Vazquez, President of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Juan Carlos Pereira, and the entire team for organizing such a memorable event.
