They fight for us, Now we fight for them.

关于我们

Friends of Duvdevan is a non-profit organization (501c3) whose mission is to support the active duty soldiers, the alumni and reservists from the elite IDF Duvdevan (217) unit, also known as the “Fauda” unit. The organization assists highly skilled individuals from the unit in their transition back to civilian life and helps them realize their full potential. By providing resources and opportunities, the organization focuses its support on four main categories - education and scholarship, mentorship, resilience and post-trauma programs, care for combat-wounded soldiers, and facilitating successful integration into everyday life. Since October 7th, reserve duty soldiers have left their families, returning to the unit in order to take part in fighting in Gaza, Judea & Shomron and now Lebanon. They left their livelihoods and their studies for many months to serve the State of Israel. As a result, many of them have been economically impacted, and the organization set itself with the goal of supporting these heroes with monetary grants, loans, subsidizing study scholarships, and negotiating with banks in order to assist the reservists. • This week, we led a tour for the Jewish community from Florida in the Gaza envelope. We took them to Kfar Aza, where the fighters who were there on October 7 walked them through what happened-where they fought, what they saw, and the moments that changed everything. Standing there, hearing the stories firsthand, was intense and emotional. These visits are important. If you want to learn more, feel free to reach out.

The exceptional human capital of the Duvdevan Unit represents the future generation that will build a better Israel. Higher education and academic studies serve as key tools in launching their careers, ensuring their integration into leadership roles. In 2024,110 scholarships were awarded to Duvdevan alumni. Thank you for making this possible. ??????

  • In November 2023, Boris, Shahar, and Zohar - fighters from Duvdevan - were wounded during an operation in Gaza when a grenade, dropped from a Hamas drone, hit their team. Boris lost his right leg above the knee, and all three began a long and challenging recovery process marked by pain, determination, and hope. During their rehabilitation, they made a promise to themselves: to climb Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters). Not as a symbol, not to prove anything to the world - but to prove to themselves that no obstacle is too great when the will to move forward is stronger than any setback. This week, that promise is becoming a reality. Each step they take up the mountain carries the weight of their journey, the memories of their fallen brothers, and the unbreakable bond that brought them here together. Friends of Duvdevan is honored to support Boris, Shahar, and Zohar - three heroes who remind us all what resilience truly looks like.
