U.S. livestock, poultry & farmed aquaculture consumed 283.6 million tons of feed in 2023! While that big number isn’t surprising, what is fascinating is how the feed industry is closing the food cycle. ? Beef cattle led the pack, consuming 76.7 million tons of feed – talk about raising the steaks! ? Corn is the #1 ingredient, with soybean meal “stalking” closely behind. ?
