Through the American Families of Faith project we provide “insiders’ perspectives” into the lives of strong, Black families who utilize their Christianity to overcome difficult times, sustain their marriages, and cover their children and family in vibrantly experienced lived faith.

In this episode, we share some of our expereinces attending religious services of various faiths. We discuss what we appreciated, enjoyed, and learned from those experiences. We have come to expect that when we go and participate in another faith's worship, the experience is well worth it and we are always glad to have gone.

The American Families of Faith Project explores the influence of religion on marital and parent-child relationships within Asian American Christian families. In-depth interviews were conducted with 24 immigrant families. From those interviews, several major themes emerged from within the domains of general life strengths, relational strengths in marriage, and relational strengths in parenting. For these Asian American Christian families, faith is not only influential, it is central.
