In recent weeks, AEV has collaborated with Wilkes Community College to improve our employee experience through the 6S Training Program. This tailored initiative is designed to upskill and reskill our workforce, ensuring they remain organized and competitive in a dynamic market. Ricky Roten, Director of Business and Industry at WCC, and Corey Easter, Trainer/Instructor with the NC Community College System, have been instrumental in supporting our employees' growth and work ethic. With over 20 years of experience in workforce development, Roten ensures our employees are equipped to meet industry demands, while Easter, with 10 years of experience, specializes in Lean Process Improvement, CNC Machining, and OSHA Safety Training. In September of 2024, AEV's James Reed initiated discussions with Roten about the training program. Through close collaboration, Roten developed a comprehensive three-year plan tailored to AEV's specific needs, which was subsequently approved in Raleigh with a funding allocation of $229,372.00. Overall, AEV successfully had over 460 employees participate in the training. We appreciate this opportunity for our employees to enhance their skills, and we extend our gratitude to Ricky Roten and Corey Easter for their contributions. We look forward to continuing our journey of growth and learning together. #6STraining #WorkforceDevelopment #EmployeeTraining #LeanProcessImprovement #CommunityCollaboration #NCCommunityCollege #Wilkes Community College #AEV
