Congratulations to Mersadie Murray, a 2023 American Counsel Association Lowell Jacobsen scholarship recipient! Catching up with all the great news on you being sworn into the Wisconsin Bar and starting your Judicial Law Clerkship at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Bravo!
I was sworn into the Wisconsin Bar today and am officially an attorney! It’s been an amazing journey and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. I’ll be moving to Chicago and starting a year long judicial clerkship in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit followed by a year in the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. I can’t think of a better way to start my career than to work side by side with two fantastic judges and brilliant co-clerks. Thanks to everyone who has supported and believed in me the last three years, especially my family.

American Counsel Association Scholarship Dinner Aug 5, 2024 at the Chicago Club to award the Cohn-Dorsett scholarship and honor our outstanding recipient, Lindsey Hernandez of Quinnipiac University School of Law.??We also had an impromptu sock contest and fabulous views of the Chicago skyline from the terrace. Many thanks and much appreciation to outgoing President Joy Phillips for an unbelievable year and looking forward to another great year with incoming President Andrew Schpak at the helm. Next up....Phoenix! Midyear meeting is Jan 30-Feb 4, 2025 and then rolling in to Toronto with the Krewe Aug 7-12, 2025. Get ready! And bring those loud socks!
