This #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth, ACP honors Terry Johnson, PMP, PMI-ACP, LSS-GB, a US Army Veteran and ACP Alumnus, as he takes us on his journey as a transitioning Veteran with proud Choctaw roots from his grandfather’s side of the family. Terry was mentored by @Brandon Knecht, Director - Product Owner, Machine Learning at The Hartford Insurance Company. Together, they focused on enhancing Terry’s relationships with managers and peers, networking, and developing leadership and management skills in the civilian sector. Reflecting on his experience transitioning out of the military while embracing his heritage, Terry shared: “Leaving the military is a significant transition, one that challenged me to redefine my path. In the military, I found structure, purpose, and camaraderie—values that resonate with my Choctaw roots. Stepping into the unknown, however, required a new form of guidance.
