Earlier today, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) released their Infrastructure Report Card with America's infrastructure earning an overall grade of C and Roads earning a D+. ACPA strongly supports the argument that a focus on resiliency and a strong commitment to continued funding will lead to increases in safety and overall improvement in America's Infrastructure. ACPA is excited to co-host another year of Tech Tuesday webinars with the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center. The May edition, Best Practices for Concrete Pavement Construction QC and Process Control, will take place Tuesday, May 20 at noon central. The webinar will present information on best practices for concrete pavement construction quality control (QC) and process control. Tools and guidance to support contractors in mitigating issues and improving their QC and process control plans/programs will be discussed. Last week, the 2025 Airport Planning, Design, & Construction Symposium was held in San Antonio. Tim Martin presented on Concrete Pavements Role in a Sustainable, Resilient Future, covering aspects of concrete pavements sustainability benefits as well as benefits and performance of concrete overlays at airports. The presentation was part of the session on Sustainable Airfields: From Planning to Pavements and included presentations from Todd Cavender of the Indianapolis Airport Authority and Chris Evers from Pavement Technology, Inc. #acpaontheroad
