A comprehensive healthcare knowledge & learning community.

关于我们

In 2021, Health Data Management (HDM) was rebirthed and relaunched as an educational nonprofit intended to serve as a single source of reference, collaboration & truth for evidence-based healthcare technology news, data, and education nationwide (HealthDataManagement.com). HDM exists to create knowledge efficiency and clarity by providing evidence-based, solution-focused content on a single trusted platform intended to help healthcare stakeholders make informed decisions around operational and clinical initiatives. Our platform delivers easy access to evidence-based information and solution-oriented educational resources. It is designed to serve as a network for sharing success principles and applied learning through a comprehensive user-generated library of content, expertise, and connections, more than any particular media brand could otherwise curate alone. We host community-created content with open access – to consume – among healthcare executives, care teams, and organizations aligned to achieve the Quintuple Aim goals for improved care delivery. Trusted information is currently distributed through multiple disparate resources. Good content needs to be more cohesive instead of siloed and disorganized. HDM spans the chasm – innovating and succeeding with those seeking new strategies, processes, and technologies for improved healthcare. HDM enables companies to connect, interact and engage around trusted content curated on a single platform from vetted sources. HDM collects and distributes essential industry content through its user community and strategic partnerships to educate healthcare executives, clinicians, and related care delivery teams. We put purpose behind the analysis of healthcare trends and the adoption of new technologies and strategies. HDM connects the dots of people, processes, and technology successes in the digital health transformation drive to improve patient care.

How honored I was to receive such an email this afternoon—it truly became my feel-good story of the day. My time in the Army, and the incredible leaders who shaped that chapter of my life, instilled in me a deep belief: be a person first. I learned early on that barking orders doesn’t build teams—earning trust and being someone others will follow, no matter the situation, is what leadership is truly about. That mindset was ingrained in me, and I carry it proudly to this day. I’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing teams, and I truly love and appreciate every one of them. Being part of this journey and receiving this kind of recognition is an honor I don’t take lightly. Thank you for the opportunity—it means the world. #GeorgiaWomenVeterans #VeteranLeaders #CelebrateWomenWhoServe Brighthour Foundation Michael Collins, MBA-HCM/ITM

We can dream big about the future of healthcare, mesmerizing audiences with nex-gen innovations and AI powered technologies and publishing press releases announcing million and billion dollar investments all we want. None of it matters if patients and families: ?? can’t trust innovation ?? can’t access them ?? can’t use them bc of poor UX design If you don’t intentionally and authentically include the patient and carepartner voice in the work you are driving, it will negatively impact your: ?? total product lifecycle ?? implementation & adoption ?? ROI [AKA: your company will lose a lot of $$??] Grateful to #FinnXHumbleHouse Doceree for the opportunity to share the stage with Jen Horonjeff, PhD for a reality check, to discuss the importance of including the patient and carepartner voice as we design a future driven by #AI and #DigitalHealth tools. Incedibly grateful for the opportunity to have the coolest 6 year old VIP I know, August, join the conversation over FaceTime for a brief discussion on what really matters: favorite foods at the hospital cafeteria and baseball. August is living with metastatic, anaplastic ependymoma. His voice, experiences, and insights, and those of his family, matter. In a moment of serendipity, my CancerX work, patient advocacy, and #SXSW2025 aligned, where Reginald Swift, who recently replied to a request for support for August, unbeknownst to me, spoke in the panel before me. What a joy to make the connection and introduce Reginald to Erica Olenski, FACHDM???? and August live! ?? Takeaways: ?? No person comes into our lives accidentally ?? Surround yourself by status quo destroyers ?? #PatientsUseAI and digital health tools bc we know no one is coming to save us ?? Go home & find ways to #AskPatients ?? • The healthcare industry is in the midst of an unprecedented digital transformation, it started with Electronic Health Records and now they and other IT systems are playing a critical role in delivering patient care. However, large-scale IT implementations often prioritize adoption over optimization, leaving end-users struggling to keep up with evolving technologies. ACHDM Fellow experts will take a deep dive into the challenges of data and digital transformation addressing change management in healthcare and explore strategies to ensure technology enhances—not hinders—clinical and administrative workflows. While we have learned many lessons riding these waves, the biggest waves of technology (e.g. Agentic AI, Quantum Computing) are yet to come, are we truly prepared? Discussion Topics:?Adoption Without Optimization; Strategic Education & Training; Human-Centered Design vs. System-Centered Deployment; Change Fatigue & Digital Overload; AND Disparate Communication. Summit Success on Mount Kosciuszko! It was rainy and windy heading up but the way down was remarkable. The easiest of the Seven Summits in a beautiful land down under. The key is staying hydrated and a supply of Vegemite sandwiches. If interested in details I will post some videos in comments. Climbing is analogous to leadership, teamwork and life. And great for mental clarity and spiritual nourishment.
