I had the privilege of making my first visit to Croatia this year as part of the American-Central European Business Association (ACEBA) mission—a dynamic engagement with key clients and stakeholders in a market brimming with potential. Our conversation covered several key areas of mutual cooperation, reinforcing Croatia’s position as a thriving business hub with significant growth opportunities. First ACEBA mission for BMS took us to Croatia and what a treat it was! Many thanks to the American-Central European Business Association (ACEBA) for organizing it, we hope this is the first of many delegations that BMS joins. ? We had the pleasure of engaging with key officials from the Ministries of Economy, Health, and Foreign and European Affairs to discuss the future of the EU’s competitiveness, the role of Croatia, and the pharmaceutical sector. At BMS, we have high hopes for the upcoming EU Life Sciences Strategy, which aims to benefit the entire life sciences industry. Croatia can position itself to capitalize on the need for investment in life sciences in Europe by further strengthening its clinical trials ecosystem, improving the use of health data, and speeding up uptake of innovation. Intellectual property is at the core of the pharmaceutical industry. Preserving and strengthening IP protections in Europe will enhance its attractiveness for companies like BMS. #BMS_employee #innovation #competitiveness

The Estonian Defence and Space Industry Association, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, is organising the Estonian Defence Week for the first time this autumn. The aim of the week, which will take place simultaneously at the Tallinn Creative Hub and Tartu ülenurme Airport from 22 to 26 September, is to introduce Estonian and neighbouring countries' defence industry companies, the products and technologies they are developing. The focus is on developing cooperation, establishing investor relations and discussions on defence industry and security policy with the participation of domestic and international experts. It was an honor and pleasure to meet officials from various agencies and ministries of Croatia this week. We talked about how the pharmaceutical industry can improve quality of life, make healthcare systems stronger, and help the economy grow. Making sure people have access to new medicines is a top priority for everyone involved. ?
