The ASPIRE Leadership Academy and Leadership Institute is a leadership program for ACS and ACS CAN employees to help grow our talent. Recently, team members from across ACS and ACS CAN joined together for an in-person workshop! Key highlights included a Leadership Panel featuring Alpa Patel, Katina Lett, Calandra Tipton, and Maria Olson, which dived into insights on leadership, strategic decision-making, and organizational dynamics. Interim CEO Dr. Wayne Frederick offered invaluable perspectives on leadership and communication in today’s rapidly changing world and his strategic vision for ACS to achieve impactful change. Purpose-driven founder that helps charities and companies activate supporters and engage employees to create passionate and impactful teams and communities | App Developer | Podcast Host | Public Speaker | Marathoner
?? Honored to share my latest #podcast with Dr. William Dahut, the Chief Scientific Officer of the American Cancer Society. (Link in the comments, since LinkedIn likes it better that way.) In this interview, we cover a wide range of topics, including the groundbreaking research the American Cancer Society is supporting, the critical role of early cancer detection, and how lifestyle choices like diet, and exercise can significantly reduce cancer risk. Dr. Dahut is both inspiring and empowering, because he gives us an inside view for how we can all make an impact —not only by fundraising but also by living healthier lives to reduce our risk of getting cancer. After all, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Huge thanks to Dr. Dahut for his leadership and taking the time to share so much with us. Also a huge thanks to everyone at the American Cancer Society for leading the charge in the fight against cancer, and for giving us all the opportunity to be a part of it. #EveryMileMatters #EveryCancerEveryLife #GetScreened

By focusing on solutions for these disparities, we are advancing the fight for health equity and making a meaningful difference in our community. Thank you Jeri Ramos, Dr. Christina Annunzita, Joanne Elena and Dr. William Dahut for joining us at Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium this Sunday to celebrate the partnership! #ACSPoweredByPartnership #EveryCancerEveryLife #OneTeamOneFight

I am pleased to share some exciting news that underscores the American Cancer Society’s commitment to health equity and community impact. We have forged a significant national partnership with Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC) and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC), aiming to tackle the critical cancer health disparities faced by Hispanic and Caribbean populations. This is an area that we are thrilled to incorporate into our ACS research portfolio. Through this partnership, DCC will contribute $4 million to support groundbreaking research and the establishment of a new Cancer Health Equity Research Center (CHERC) at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This work will focus on developing solutions that address health disparities in the Latinx community, ultimately driving progress toward greater health equity. #ACSPoweredByPartnership #everycancereverylife

Where people are born, grow up, live, work, worship, and age, have a profound effect on their health status and their ability to access cancer care and to carry out care recommendations. Your donation helps fund our Cancer Health Equity Research Centers (CHERC) which help address the root causes of cancer health inequities in local communities.
