According to the American Cancer Society, even though breast cancer mortality rates have dropped by 44% since 1989, cases are increasing by 1% annually from 2012-2021. Women’s health nurse practitioner Barb Dehn advises: "Get to know your own breasts... A survey released by AANP finds Americans are not getting the health screenings they need. In fact, 27% of patients are not up to date with their health screenings and immunizations.
