This International Women’s Day the AAA-ICDR Foundation celebrates four women leading change within the nonprofit sector. Lewis, Executive Vice President of Justice System Design at Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, draws inspiration from her experiences across government, philanthropy, and nonprofits. "If we embrace innovation to expand access to justice rather than restrict it, we can restore confidence in the rule of law.” – Bridget Mary McCormack, AAA President & CEO In her review for Artificial Lawyer of Sean West’s “Unruly: Fighting Back when Politics, AI and Law Upend the Rules of Business,” AAA President and CEO Bridget McCormack explores a pressing question: What happens when no one believes in the rules anymore? West warns of a growing “rule of law recession,” where politics, AI and legal complexity create compounding risks. But amidst the challenges, AI also holds the potential to expand access to justice—if we use it wisely. At the American Arbitration Association, we see this as a call to action. Our mission has always been to restore faith in justice through effective dispute resolution. The future of the rule of law depends on ensuring AI is a tool for fairness, not just another barrier to justice. ??
