AATA: Brighter Future. Safer World. Spending the day with Jared Williams Williams in back-to-back advocacy meetings was an incredible experience. His extensive knowledge of NDT, combined with his experience as a mentor and leader in the industry, made for some invaluable conversations. Jared’s insights answered my questions, challenged my thinking, and sparked exciting new ideas. ???? Jared’s high school NDT program is truly groundbreaking — giving students classroom certifications, OJT hours, and even the opportunity to test out as Level II inspectors right out of school. ?????? This kind of innovation is exactly what our industry needs to build a stronger workforce. Big shoutout to Yiming Deng PHD Professor at Michigan State University, where he serves as Associate Chair for Graduate Studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Deng leads groundbreaking research in Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE), with a strong focus on AI-enabled NDE systems, advanced manufacturing techniques, and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). His expertise in integrating AI, machine learning, and uncertainty quantification into NDE is driving innovation in the field. I’m incredibly excited to collaborate with Dr. Deng and build a strong relationship to elevate training programs using machine learning, AI, and cutting-edge NDE technologies. ??????
