My latest insight for the American Action Forum delves into the evolution of AI regulation under the Biden Administration. With Congress failing to pass comprehensive AI legislation, the administration relied on agency-level initiatives to address key issues. At the same time, a diverse patchwork of state regulations emerged, which would likely fill gaps but also introduce complexity and costs for the AI industry. As the Trump Administration takes office, will the focus shift to a unified federal law to streamline AI governance, or will a sector-specific, decentralized strategy shape the next chapter?

Did you know that nuclear energy has been generating about 20% of electricity in America? After being stagnant for the past 30 years, it is gaining renewed interest from U.S. lawmakers and private companies. In my first piece published with the American Action Forum, I discuss the latest legislative developments and private-sector investments in nuclear power, the main factors driving the recent momentum toward this source of clean energy, and the key issues to watch for going forward.
