According to AMCP Foundation’s Emerging Trends in Managed Care Pharmacy report—recently featured in Becker's Healthcare's Hospital Review—drug shortages, AI, and affordability are the top concerns shaping the future of managed care pharmacy. Last night, the House of Representatives passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) extending government funding through Sept. 30 to avoid a shutdown. While it reauthorizes key health care programs, PBM reform and other bipartisan priorities were left out. What’s Included: Public Health ? Funding for Community Health Centers, NHSC, and Teaching Health Centers ? Diabetes grants via NIH and IHS ? Extension of emergency preparedness authorities Medicare ? Telehealth flexibilities extended ? Continued support for low-volume and Medicare-dependent hospitals ? Maintains geographic index protections ?
