#Press We’re pleased to announce that the CE mark for the Ambu? aScope? 5 Cysto HD solution has been expanded for a new indication. The new indication means that the solution can function as a single-use flexible cysto-nephroscope during percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) procedures for removal of?large and complex kidney stones. The expanded CE mark clearance is a reinforcement of our commitment to meeting a wide range of procedural needs through an extensive and versatile urology portfolio. An independent Duke University study found that outpatient clinics could increase their number of cystoscopy consults by 12 to 21 per day with a single-use cystoscope as opposed to a reusable one. With single-use, 22 minutes were saved in total in categories such as preparation, transportation, sterilization and cleaning time. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dXmhpiPg

We are proud to announce that with the inclusion of bioplastic in our latest cystoscope, all our single-use endoscopes now feature bioplastic handles! This achievement is ahead of our 2025 goal and marks a significant milestone in our sustainability journey. The bioplastic we use are a mix of fossil-based feedstock and second generation biobased feedstock. It has a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional plastics, helping our customers on their way to reach their sustainability targets.
