This past Friday, I had the pleasure of visiting Silver Creek High School’s Career Academy program, where I was welcomed back as a special guest. As an alum of both the NAF Academy of Finance & Engineering, I shared my journey to where I am now Amatrol and some of the lessons learned along the way. I had a blast working with Casey O'Brien and her team at the Connected Systems Institute hosting several student groups from Gateway Technical College and Milwaukee Public Schools. Check out these action shots of first-semester students in Gateway's Advanced Manufacturing Technology Degree Program working on real-world systems troubleshooting scenarios. These students are currently taking Intro to Mechatronics and using the same learning systems, but with a little bit of creativity and "intrinsic troubleshooting" opportunities, we were able to put their newly acquired skills to the test! When you show students what the future holds for them with #manufacturing and #automation, you empower them. Educators who foster these kinds of hands-on experiences set their students up for success. Here's a great example of that!
Collaborative partnerships in technical education are vital to student success. Today underscored the importance of CSI's strong partnership with LAB Midwest and Gateway Technical College. Working together, we provided valuable exposure and hands-on experiences to a group of students in their first year of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Program. Students toured the facility to see the future of advanced manufacturing and, under the engaging instruction of Michael Dietrich, got hands-on experience working in teams to trouble-shoot and solve real-world issues they'll encounter in the field. Thank you to Thaddeus Cellak for the foresight to bring your class to the Connected Systems Institute! A special thank you to Matt Kirchner and Renee Kirchner for their unwavering support and dedication to providing high-quality mechatronics and automation instruction. Attended the Discovery Manufacturing Expo over the past couple of days in Peoria, Illinois, where manufacturing plays a crucial role in the local economy. It was inspiring to see hundreds of high school students, teachers, and faculty engaging with suppliers and exploring career paths in advanced manufacturing. These young individuals are building a vision for their future and taking the steps needed to thrive in this field. Huge thanks to Moss Enterprises and the local Peoria school districts for organizing such an impactful event!

Had an incredible day at Lakewood High School’s I4F Workshop Summit with Buckeye Education Systems!! It was a fantastic opportunity for educators and local industry professionals to come together and see the amazing work happening in Lakewood’s newly implemented I4F program. From hands-on skill exercises to showcasing various projects and discussing Amatrol Fault Pro, it was a day full of innovation and learning. Looking forward to many more experiences like this!
