2024 Climate Week was another exciting chapter towards a cleaner, greener future. The shared insights, vibrant discussion and thoughtful insights were an important step forward in our collective future towards climate justice. While the work continues beyond this week, we want to share some highlights from the events we attended and hosted. Thank you to our colleagues, partners, and attendees for their time and knowledge on this ongoing issue that calls for companies and individuals alike to do the work now for our future. With B Lab, we co-hosted a Networking Happy Hour focused on Climate Finance Action. We met outstanding individuals who discussed the growth of climate financing in their sectors. This is what progress towards a greener future looks like solution-oriented conversations that will succeed in our shared goal of positively impacting our world. As #ClimateWeek2024 winds down, it's imperative that we continue these conversations for a more sustainable future.?

#SCNBayArea attendees are going to Block Inc. for an Entrepreneurual Showcase! Block is a financial services company founded by Jack Dorsey (of Twitter). Our efforts include lending, donating, and setting goals to achieve net-zero emissions in our financing by 2045. We take pride in achieving 100% renewable energy use in our direct operations and being the first to endorse and one of three U.S. banks to sign the UN Principles for Responsible Banking. Additionally, as a United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Net Zero Banking Alliance member, we are dedicated to advocating for climate justice for all and will continue to create a greener tomorrow.?

Earlier this week, we cohosted a #ClimateWeekNYC event with Invest in Our Future at our NYC office. Our lively discussions were instrumental in proposing impactful solutions for climate actions and ways to enhance community engagement. We extend our sincere thanks to all those who attended, and we would like to express a special thank you to the MacArthur Foundation for their valuable participation in our event.?

Climate Week is next week, and we couldn't be more excited! All week, we'll be sharing on-the-ground content and an in-depth look at how we are fighting against the climate crisis.?As we look towards next week, we're excited to share one of the biggest Climate Action wins this year. The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, or #GGRF, is here to ensure that all Americans have access to the benefits of clean energy, making it more accessible while lowering energy costs, creating new career and job training opportunities, and more. Our Director of Climate Partnership Banking, Nicole Steele, shares what the #GGRF is and the potential impact it will create in our country.

Imagine a world where clean energy is accessible to all. Thanks to the GGRF, we hope to see that soon. We have been a leader in the forefront of climate change and with GGRF, we will see that work directly benefit overlooked communities. The fund will provide crucial support to bringing clean energy to underserved communities through its three component programs: the National Clean Investment Fund, the Clean Communities Investment Accelerator, and Solar for All. These programs represent our vision of a clean, green future, one that brings the elimination of air pollutants and promotes energy efficiency and workforce development. The work is far from over, but the beginning of a clean, green future is closer and brighter than ever.
