Family League of Baltimore announces the release of its Home Visiting Housing Support Program (HSP) evaluation findings. HSP, which advances family stability by providing Baltimore families with a $500 monthly guaranteed income stipend to support housing needs such as rent, mortgage, utilities, and other household expenses, demonstrates the impact of combining financial assistance with home visiting services. The report, conducted in partnership with Amaka Consulting and Evaluation Services, LLC, examined data from 380 participants across our partner sites: DRUM Healthy Families, The Family Tree, Inc., HOPE Project of @Roberta's House, and Sinai Hospital of Baltimore (LifeBridge Health). Analysis showed that 92% of participants reported improved family functionality, with the monthly stipends primarily supporting rental and utility payments - addressing critical housing stability needs for Baltimore families. This evaluation was made possible through support from the Children's Cabinet Interagency Fund administered by the Governor's Office of Children. The findings demonstrated the effectiveness of combining housing support with comprehensive home visiting services in creating pathways to stability for Baltimore families.
