We are dedicated to providing quality care and support services to the thousands of residents of Orange County who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementia, and also partnering with local researchers to populate clinical trials to help find a cure

    ??Meet the newest members of our team! ?? - Nancy Gomez (MSW Intern): "Attending Cal State University, Long Beach. Favorite hobbies are crafty activities such as painting, working on DIY projects, and making charcuterie boards for get together! Favorite food is Mexican food (enchiladas verdes), Thai food, and Mediterranean food. My siblings and I make it a goal to rewatch all the Fast and Furious movies in order at least once a year lol, I think they are my favorite, mostly because it means we spend quality time together. Favorite book is The Giving Tree by Harper and Row. Fun fact, I enjoy evening walks and enjoy crunching leaves!" - Nancy Turner (Volunteer): "I have an MBA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and BS in Business Administration from Cal State University San Bernardino. My favorite hobbies are volunteering, card-making/crafting, and jigsaw puzzles. I have 2 dogs, both rescues. Polly, a cock-a-poo mix, 10-12yrs old and a new rescue, Dante, standard poodle who is about 8 years old. Adopted him in July (his owner passed away from cancer). Favorite foods is chocolate, love See’s candy. Not really a movie person. Don’t really have a favorite book, but I liked this one -Promise Me Nothing by Jillian Liota." - Gabe Cruz (Volunteer): "I am currently a senior at CSUF majoring in Psychology with a minor in Cellular and Molecular biology. A few of my hobbies are reading and playing guitar (this has been on hold for a while). I have a large Great Pyrenees named Apollo, who is four years old. My current favorite food is creamy penne pasta with a vodka sauce. My favorite movie is Flipped. My favorite read is Subliminal: How your unconscious mind rules your behavior."

    Alzheimer's Orange County recently celebrated its 16th Annual Latino Conference, bringing together 300 members of the community to learn about the impacts of Alzheimer's disease and get the support they need. Did you know the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that by 2060, Hispanics and Latinos will face the largest increase in Alzheimer's and related dementia cases of any racial/ethnic group in the U.S.?

    ??Meet the newest members of our team! ?? - Judy Franco (MSW Intern): "I am a first year student attending Cal State Dominguez Hills. In my free time I enjoy doing yoga, planning trips or events for gatherings, and taking naps. I can have Mediterranean food any day of the week, or sushi. I can watch Friday or Pulp Fiction over and over. Favorite books are any travel brochure, catalog, or book about travel. I often laugh to myself, and I have been told that I have a contagious laugh." - Lauren Morreale (MSW Intern): "Attending University of Southern California, USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. My favorite hobbies include going to the beach, going to the gym, hot yoga, jogging, and being around friends and family. I live with my housemate's kitten and dog. My favorite food is Italian food. There are too many movies, I recently saw the notebook for the first time and loved it. Favorite book is Untamed by Glennon Doyle. I was born in Washington State. I have played four sports: track, cross country, swimming, and soccer. Many years ago, around my freshman year in high school, I was sent out to compete in the Junior Olympics with a selected team from Southern California to run three miles." - Lorena Lopez (MSW Intern): "Attending California State University, Long Beach in their 1 year program and I will be graduating in May 2025. I enjoy attending live music events, traveling, and thrift shopping. I have a black ragdoll cat and her name is Rue. My favorite food is Mexican food, especially my mother's Chile Verde. My favorite movie, Toy Story 3. My favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I love fashion and makeup. I've styled and done makeup for friends and family for fun!"
