Mike Douglas’s mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia nearly 15 years ago. This experience motivated him to volunteer his time with the Alzheimer’s Association as a community educator. In this role, Mike equips members of his community with the information they need to make healthy choices, and he provides them with resources from the Alzheimer’s Association. Mike describes volunteering as “important, life changing and fulfilling work” that has been “an enriching and very rewarding experience.” Learn how you can join Mike in making a difference: alz.org/volunteer. #BlackHistoryMonth #ENDALZ
