Wow! What an incredible day for the Irvine #Walk2EndAlz! More than 2,500 people from our community and corporate organizations came out to show their support this past Saturday to help raise more $500,000+. We broke a record! Those critical funds support our mission of providing free education programs and support groups, as well as driving ground-breaking research, for the people that need them the most. We are incredibly grateful to our Executive Leadership Committee led by Chair Danni Remington Smithson and our emcee for the day iHeartMedia KFI Talk Radio 640 AM Radio Host, Gary Hoffmann. We are also grateful for the unwavering support of sponsors including Comfort Keepers, Clearinghouse CDFI, Danaher Corporation, Tax Relief Advocates and more than 300 volunteers. We want to thank Senator Catherine Blakespear and her office for having us co-host their ‘All About Alzheimer’s’ event last week in San Juan Capistrano at the city’s community center. Our Community Engagement Manager Michelle Pichardo and Public Policy and Advocacy Manager Danielle Ericka Orleans, spoke to community members about healthy living for your brain and body, why it’s important to advocate for yourself and loved ones, and how to access resources through the Association! We appreciate the opportunity you have given us to share more knowledge and resources about Alzheimer’s and related dementias to further our efforts to #ENDALZ
