Altillion's ALIX technology is a paradigm shift in the extraction and concentration of lithium from brine. ALIX, or Advanced Liquid Ion Exchange, is the lowest cost, lowest footprint process to produce highly concentrated lithium from Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) applications. Regardless of the initial lithium concentration, ALIX maximizes lithium recovery and output lithium concentration without requiring reverse osmosis, forced evaporation, or other high-cost dewatering equipment. ALIX complements existing ion exchange and sorbent DLE technologies, significantly reducing capital requirements for the downstream concentrating of lithium in the eluate stream. In pursuit of the highest efficiency flow sheet for each project, Altillion's customers often view ALIX as synergistic to other DLE technologies. With extensive expertise in brine management and processing, Altillion's team has a proven track record of commercializing technologies and building field operations for brine applications. This positions Altillion to help ensure that DLE projects can fulfill the growing global demand for lithium.

    Concentrated lithium from Altillion produces battery grade lithium carbonate. Our team, in collaboration with Telescope Innovations Corp., is excited to announce the successful production of battery grade lithium carbonate from North American brine. Altillion’s ALIX process was first used to concentrate lithium with the lowest cost and lowest footprint. No reverse osmosis. No OARO. No thermal evaporation. No high pressure or high temperature dewatering process. Telescope Innovations’ ReCRFT process then converted Altillion’s lithium concentrate to >99.5% lithium carbonate with a high yield, efficient conversion. Lithium brines require much simpler flow sheets to successfully develop at commercial scale. Cut out the high electricity consumption. Cut out the excessive thermal energy requirements.
