We are proud to be one of the largest recyclers of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the country, and for the work we do to expand and develop new services to meet the changing needs of not just our clients, but our world. We are so proud of the students, parents, and community of Flynn Park Elementary School! It is the beginning Month 2 of the #2MillionCans Recycling Contest! What has Flynn Park Elementary School from the School District of University City been up to? Collecting cans, of course! Alter Trading Executive VP Michael Goldstein?? and Gallium the Unicorn from Recycling is like Magic! picked up the first load of cans last Friday, which consisted of 10,500 cans. This is about 20% of what’s been tallied nationwide so far! “Our students and families are doing a phenomenal job at collecting and bringing in cans.” said Flynn Park Principal Darion Murdock. “Additionally, the students have a specific day of the week when they go around to classes to collect cans, as well. This project has been a great way to teach students about sustainability.” Thank you to our friends Bret Robinson and Mike Sophie from Southern Metal Processing for partnering with us on this important mission of educating the next generation on the benefits of recycling.
