Alter Trading is thrilled to be a part of this year’s 2 Million Cans Recycling Contest, administered by Recycling is Like Magic Recycling is like Magic! and the Can Manufacturers Institute! Last Friday, our fearless leader Michael Goldstein along with a team of Alter employees visited Flynn Park Elementary School to teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders about the metal recycling process and to kick off the race to recycle 2 million cans this school year. The contest encourages students to collect aluminum cans for recycling and to pledge to never throw an aluminum can in the trash again. Many thanks to Flynn Park’s Teacher Mrs. Amanda Jones and her team of 5th Graders who are championing this cause for their school. Flynn Park Elementary, which is a part of the School District of University City is the ONLY school in the entire state of Missouri participating in this national contest. We can’t wait to see the trailer filled to the brim with aluminum cans! Stay tuned for more updates.
