Rick Taylor: A Legacy of Excellence at Altek Rick Taylor has been an integral part of Altek since its very beginning, embodying the essence of dedication and craftsmanship. A skilled machinist by trade, Rick joined the company forty years ago this April 1st, starting on swing shift after relocating from California. From the moment he stepped through the doors, it was clear that Rick was a standout talent. Over the years, Rick's journey through the organization has been nothing short of remarkable. He has progressed from machinist to Machine Shop Manager, eventually rising to the role of Vice President, and most recently, Chief Operations Officer — where he has served as the President's right hand and trusted partner for decades. Rick’s impact goes far beyond his technical expertise. His ability to navigate complex situations with diplomacy has made him the voice of Altek, both internally and externally. As Sales Team Leader, he has cultivated lasting relationships with customers, building bonds that will endure long after his tenure at Altek. Rick’s commitment to the team is unmatched. Recently, when the machine shop was short-staffed and a new product needed to be delivered on time, Rick didn’t hesitate to step back into his machinist role (see photo), proving once again that he’s always willing to do whatever it takes for the success of the team. Rick, your contributions are immeasurable, and your legacy at Altek is eternal. The platforms you helped create, like NIMA (formerly known as INWAC), stand as a testament to your vision and hard work. We are incredibly grateful for the impact you’ve had on Altek and the countless relationships you’ve nurtured over the years. He’s successfully implemented lean manufacturing, led high-performing teams, and spearheaded continuous improvement initiatives. His success is rooted in his ability to engage all levels of an organization—from frontline employees to board executives—and cultivating strong customer relationships. His extensive background includes collaborating with renowned original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, GE Aviation, and other industry leaders. Coming from a family of six children, Chris was raised with values of loyalty, trust, and mutual support.
