The mission of the ALS Hope Foundation is to provide long-term support to 1) clinical centers of excellence for the care and treatment of people with ALS 2) programs for people with ALS and their caregivers that optimize care and promote independence, 3) programs that promote education for people with and health care professionals about diagnosis, treatment and care, and 4) basic and clinical research programs leading to a cure. The ALS Hope Foundation is working to: * Establish a team of talented and imaginative scientists who will work cooperatively to accelerate ALS research * Provide these researchers with stable funding to ensure that ALS research continues uninterrupted * Provide funding for innovative, ground-breaking research across the country where traditional funding sources are not forthcoming. Primarily, we fund clinical research and education at the nationally acclaimed MDA/ALS Center of Hope at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. This clinic has been providing a multidisciplinary approach to care for people with ALS and their families in the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area since 1984. The ALS Hope Foundation is working to ensure that this clinic can continue to offer access to clinical trials of promising therapeutics and maintain its work at the forefront of clinical ALS research. The ALS Hope Foundation also maintains an excellent team of scientists focused on ALS, operating out of the Dr. Robert Sinnott ALS Research Laboratory at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. This laboratory relies on its collaborations with other scientists to attack ALS from new and innovative directions.

    We officially opened our new office doors! This weekend, we were so pleased to see so many of our friends, families, colleagues and supporters that joined us as they got to meet our team and engaged in our mission’s activities. We look forward to hosting educational programs, providing DME equipment from the Pappas Family Loaner Closet, assistive technology resources , in-person support groups and the BCI (brain computer interface) laboratory. Thank you to all who made this possible and we welcome anyone to come visit us! We would love to see you!
