In 2021, Revesco Properties and Alpine Investments saw an opportunity to build something different. At that time, Denver’s growth attracted new out-of-town developers that didn’t have a strong connection to the neighborhoods they were shaping. Many of the apartment buildings that resulted were contrived, over-amenitized, uninspired, and lacked neighborhood integration. Community stakeholders told us they were growing tired of their needs being ignored. They wanted urban infill that was fulfilling. They wanted buildings built with the quality of materials and finishes that matched the quality of their community. They wanted density from buildings that opened up to the neighborhood, not turned their backs to it. They didn’t want buildings that were unlike their neighborhoods — they wanted buildings that were akin to them. akin was born as the flagship brand that these buildings would fly under. From the beginning, our focus has been thoughtful design, quality materials, and genuine neighborhood connection. Our teams got to work — and we haven’t looked back. Today, we’re excited to share an update on our akin Bonnie Brae project, which is expected to break ground in the coming months.?akin Bonnie Brae, the third project in our akin collection will feature 46 luxury one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences for rent, along with 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail at the corner of University and Ohio.?The project’s all-brick fa?ade, sophisticated interior design, and prime walkable location make this a special development for us and our partners at Revesco Properties.?In the coming months, we’ll be finalizing our equity raise and construction loan, with the goal of breaking ground by January.??

Ford is a Development Associate at Alpine Investments and supports the team in all company activities, including acquisition and pre-development, construction administration, project management, financial modeling and reporting, investor relations, and accounting. Prior to joining Alpine, Ford worked at Ernst & Young within their Audit practice. At EY, Ford worked on corporate audits for both public and private companies across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, automobile, media, and retail. His responsibilities included financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and ensuring proper financial reporting. Ford received his MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Development, a Master's in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Originally from North Carolina, Ford now resides in Denver and enjoys playing golf, traveling, and skiing.
