This heritage property once known as Munross was built in 1877 and in 1897, it became the residence of Canadian Prime Minister Sir Wilfred Laurier until his death. Fast forward to 1999, the President of Le Cordon Bleu was impressed by the building’s beauty & relocated the Ottawa branch of the world renowned culinary school to this location. ?? Designed for climate and sited in the foothills of Vermont's highest peak, Mount Mansfield, 4393': U.S. Army Mountain Warfare School, Jericho, VT This LEED? certified specialized training facility features a distinctive copper standing seam roof that slopes away from egress points. It was installed by the creative team at Cold Hollow Contracting and utilizes Alpine's recycled brass ASG4000BR snow guards to minimize avalanching snow. The ASG4000BR was the definitive aesthetic and performance-based choice for this project. It is two-pipe style with three clamp designs that can be applied to: New / Existing Copper Standing Seam New / Existing Copper Single Lock, Double Lock, Snap Lock New / Existing Copper Bulb Standing Seam The U.S. Army Mountain Warfare School was designed by SAS Architects of Burlington, VT, constructed by DEW Construction and achieved LEED? Certification. The 82,000sf building has been described as functional, sustainable and cutting edge.
