Excited to share that PBS has selected Episode 1 (WATER) of Season 1 of "Power Trip: The Story of Energy" to appear on their official YouTube channel. This gives a general audience a glimpse of the 12 hour series I directed, currently on Prime Video, Apple TV, and Kanopy.
Filmed on location in Israel, Singapore, France, England and the USA, this episode illustrates author Michael E. Webber's book. How we get energy for water and water for energy while featuring expert interviews I conducted with Former Secretary of Energy Ernest J. Moniz, Ashlynn Stillwell, Yael Glazer, Martin Doyle, Corey James, David Sedlak and Peter Gleick. After reading Michael's book and brainstorming with Michael and Producers Beth Hames and Juan Garcia , this took months of research on my part to develop the interview questions, shots, storyboards, and creative direction. In addition, I directed a team of over 40 people at Alpheus Media and our vendors and freelancers around the world to bring the series to life - a multi-year process involving lots of international film shoots.
