Acoustics alone can set a client back a half million or more with certain manufacturers. I can get the same performance in the vast majority of cases from Grimani at a true fraction of the cost from others.
This isn’t speakers where quality and performance can range all over. We are talking acoustics and absorption is absorption. If you get a panel with the same ratings, you’ll get the same performance.
I can choose panels that won’t cost an arm or a leg or I can for no real apparent reason pay 10 times as much for the same exact thing performance wise.
There is value to design of fabric wall systems. If you want me to ask my clients to fork over more than six figures on just acoustics/looks for a room you better be providing world class designs that boggle your mind like Richard Charschan or Maurizio Conti (whose designs aren’t fabric wall).
The guys though that pretty much just take/steal old Theo Kalomirakis designs and put their own touch to it aren’t offering anything world shattering. So when Anthony Grimani offers an “affordable” option with elegant designs I say “Yes, please.” All day long.
Of course when a client tells me they want a design unique, original or themed and boundary pushing I know to call on guys like Peter Aylett, Richard, Maurizio or Theo. I would happily call on any of them for our clients as their designs have wowed me over the years.
In the meantime I am very happy to offer Grimani’s acoustic services to those who can’t or don’t want to spend six figures on acoustics.
Plus the calibration services are world class and literally done by one of the best calibration experts in the world in either Anthony or Manny.
