It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brother Robert Love, Kappa Lambda '64, on Monday, November 18th, 2024. Bob Love was a cherished member of the Kappa Lambda Chapter at Southern University. Brother Love's legacy is marked by his incredible dedication to service, making his communities a better place. Bob Love was a standout player for the Chicago Bulls. After retiring, he faced challenges finding employment due to his stutter. He took the only job offered to him, washing dishes and bussing tables at a Nordstrom in Seattle. It was there that a store manager paid for speech therapy for Brother Love, and he became a national speaker and advocate for those who stutter. Through his work with the Stuttering Foundation, he raised awareness and encouraged others to seek speech therapy. Brother Love's life embodied Leadership, Friendship and Service. We invite you to share your memories, photos and special moments with our brother through the In Memoriam page on apo.org.

Exciting news! On October 22, National University welcomed their first group of petitioners at its virtual Petitioning Ceremony! This is a huge milestone for Alpha Phi Omega as they become the first fully virtual campus to pursue a charter. We are so excited to watch this group grow and see the positive impact they will have in their communities!??????
