Today's Alpha Delta Pi alumna spotlight is Treeya Desai, Delta Gamma - University of Arizona! Treeya was named as one of six fellows in the 2024 Fellowship for Advancement and Resources (FAR) Program by Snell & Wilmer. The FAR Fellowship aims to promote inclusion and belonging in the workplace and legal profession, providing LSAT preparation assistance, guidance, and mentorship to help undergraduates from unique backgrounds and experiences pursue and succeed in law school. Treeya Desai graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona (UofA) with a bachelor’s degree in political science and public policy & management, and minors in Spanish and economics. In addition to serving as her chapter’s Director of New Member Experience, Treeya was actively involved in Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law fraternity and was President of the Indian Students Association. Treeya’s participation in the fellowship will support her law school journey and connect her to opportunities that will positively influence her future career. As National Hazing Prevention Week ends, the work to stop hazing does not. This week, and every week, Alpha Delta Pi strongly stands against hazing as hazing has no place in our sisterhood.? ? Annually through the month of September, the #StopTheHazing campaign raises awareness on types of hazing, the effects of hazing, hazing prevention efforts and resources, bystander intervention, and ways to report hazing on campuses. These educational resources are provided to our members and their campus communities in partnership with the Max Gruver Foundation and the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation. By raising awareness and taking action when we witness hazing, we can make a difference. Today's Alpha Delta Pi alumna spotlight is Marcella Ducca, Delta Alpha - Emory University! Marcella was recognized in the 2023 class of Emory University’s 40 under Forty,?a program that highlights selected alumni across a variety of vocations for having made a significant impact in business, research, leadership, public service and/or philanthropic endeavors. Marcella was awarded the honor for her involvement in various professional and community organizations within Atlanta and nationwide and her leadership and membership roles with The Institute for Complex Litigation and Mass Claims at Emory University School of Law, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, The Judge Clarence Cooper Inn of Court, the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Ohio State Bar Association. Her practice focuses on the representation and defense of manufacturers in products liability litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical, medical device, and health care litigation. Today's Alpha Delta Pi alumna spotlight is Allison James, Epsilon Pi—Georgia Southern! Allison was recently featured in the Georgia Southern Magazine for her success as a contemporary abstract mixed media artist. Allison received her bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 2013, deciding to pursue her art as a full-time career in 2019. Today, she operates out of her home studio in Perry, GA selling her art through Instagram, her website and galleries. While her presence is largely focused in the southeast, Allison has clients from California to Australia. Allison noted her Alpha Delta Pi membership as a significant part of her collegiate experience saying, “I love my time in ADPi so much. I was the Guard for 2 years and helped with recruitment as the?'big feelings' sister, basically pouring out everything I loved about being an ADPi with a video they used on Pref day for many years after I left.” Check out the original article here: https://lnkd.in/e99fWKUJ

We're celebrating #NationalInternDay by highlighting our 2024 Executive Office Summer Interns! Over the past seven week, these interns worked with our Collegiate Services, Alumnae and Volunteer Engagement, Marketing and Communications, Housing and Facilities, and Education and Programs departments, attended Grand Convention in Baltimore, met with and learned from ADPi professionals across multiple corporations in Atlanta, served at the Atlanta RMHC, explore the city, furthered their personal and professional development, AND lived in Memorial Headquarters. It was a packed summer, but we loved every minute of having them and are appreciative of all they contributed to Alpha Delta Pi. Although we are sad the internship program came to an end last week, we are so excited to see all they accomplish in their chapters, careers, and beyond! At Grand Convention last week, our 2024-2026 Grand Council was elected and installed! Grand Council is Alpha Delta Pi’s governing board, a group of seven women who are elected to serve the organization for a two-year term. They set the strategic direction of the organization. With our strategic plan, Grand Council members serve as executive sponsors of each priority to ensure each area, and the supporting volunteers and staff, have the support and resources that they need. In their roles, they make fiduciary decisions, review reporting and trends, establish and revise Standing Rules and Policies (with support from the Leadership Advisory Committee), define and uphold our values, traditions, and heritage, and ensure adequate resources are in place for our organization. They oversee the Leadership Advisory Committee and make decisions that are in the best interest of the sorority. We are pleased to officially announce the 2024-2026 Grand Council!
