One of our values at A&O is Servant Attitudes. We strive to put our clients and their needs ahead of ourselves. But this also should apply to our neighbor. Monday February 17 is Random Acts of Kindness Day, a day to find chances to reach out and brighten each other’s day. It’s a great time to put the words of our Lord and Savior into action! Unfortunately, these chances of kindness aren’t always clear in a single workday. That’s why, starting next Monday, Alpha & Omega Group is starting our Random Acts of Kindness Week! Instead of a single day, we’re going to take this week to find those chances to show kindness. Often, we’re so busy with our daily lives that we don’t notice the opportunity to show kindness, but with a whole week, there’s so much we can do! Just holding a door open, giving a compliment, or even letting someone have the last cookie in the breakroom can count. It’s a well-known fact that after about two weeks, most people have given up on their New Years Resolutions. This is the time when we need the most encouragement to keep going. To give that encouragement, A&O begins our Fitness Challenge in the third week of January! We hope if the whole office is working together, we can keep pushing ahead, even when the excitement of the new year is over. For the next few weeks (Jan 25 to Feb 14), we’ll be challenging our team to get their heart rates up for 30 minutes four times a week. If all goes well, this means that the team will be putting in 5,000 minutes of exercise all together! To add a little fun, and encourage us to meet our goals and surpass them, if we reach over 6,000 minutes, the team gets to celebrate together with a mystery prize! By having a fitness challenge, we’re helping our whole team to keep going, achieve our original goals, so we can celebrate our successes together! #FitnessChallenge #AchievingExcellence

Lorilee is joining with experience in monitoring bridges, dam break analyses, flood control, and stormwater management. Yvette has experience in drafting, CAD, and digital terrain models.
