About Alina: Originally from Kyrgyzstan, Alina’s path has taken her across the globe—from Kazakhstan to Macau, New York, California, and now sunny Florida. Her multicultural background has shaped her passion for connection, adaptability, and inclusion. ?? A Deep Connection to Latino Culture: Alina has always been drawn to the warmth and vibrancy of Latino culture. Marrying her Mexican husband further strengthened this bond, making her both a partner and ally in celebrating Latino heritage and contributions. ?? Aspiring Polyglot: She speaks Kyrgyz, Russian, and English and is currently learning Spanish to deepen her connection with the community she admires. ?? Her ALPFA Journey: Introduced to ALPFA by a former coworker, Alina attended her first event and never looked back! The organization has been instrumental in building her network, professional growth, and finding a supportive community—especially as she settled into Tampa. ?? Why She’s Passionate: Leadership development, networking, and creating opportunities for others drive Alina’s involvement. ????♂? ALPFA Tampa Joins Tampa Pride Rainbow Run + Family Fun Day! ?? On March 8, 2025, ALPFA Tampa proudly joined the Tampa Pride community at the Rainbow Run + Family Fun Day at Al Lopez Park! It was a day filled with fun, fitness, and meaningful connections. A huge shoutout to Maria Escalona Chaparro and Kimberly S. for representing ALPFA on the racecourse, and a special congratulations to Kim for winning a medal in the 5K! ?? This past weekend, we had the privilege of hosting Damian Rivera here in Tampa. Hearing Damian’s journey and his words of wisdom left us with some powerful takeaways: ??Tell your story: Your story stays in the boardroom and resonates beyond it. ??Be authentic: Stay true to your values and let them guide you. ??Create moments of impact: Pause intentionally to craft cliffhanger, edge-of-your-seat moments. ??Adopt a growth mindset: Hone your skills and stay committed to continuous learning. ??Grow and Foster Your Network:? Lean on your "board of directors": Your personal network—family and friends—can guide you, offer perspective, and remind yourself make time to pause or take action.? Spending time with Damian to showcase Tampa during one of our Gasparilla weekends allowed us to discuss the challenges and opportunities for our chapter, get to know each other on a personal level and how we can continue to maintain the momentum in the years to come.
