Last week, ALPFA Chicago hosted an Executive Workshop for our student chapters and leaders. This workshop was held to provide our student chapters with resources and growth opportunities on their campuses and professionally. Additionally, a presentation was provided by Carlos Huezo, a UPS Foundation professional. A huge thank you to our Student Affairs team for making this event a success, to our wonderful keynote speaker, Carlos, for collaborating with us on this event, and to our amazing student chapters and student leaders for attending the Executive Workshop! Lastly, thank you to DePaul University for allowing us to host this event. We had an amazing time!

ALPFA student leaders - join ALPFA Chicago in a live executive workshop tailored to student E-Board members. Hear from a professional at UPS as we address common themes and challenges facing student chapters such as the following: Developing corporate sponsorship packages Common issues facing chapters Student affairs resources, templates and more. Please note this is a *mandatory* event for ALPFA student leaders. At least 2 executive board members from each chapter are required to register. All local Chicago chapters are highly encouraged to attend live in-person. A virtual meeting option will be available for those not in close proximity. This event will be followed by networking providing an opportunity to connect with students across chapters as well as your ALPFA Chicago student liaisons. Food and beverages will be provided! ALPFA Chicago’s Student Affairs Committee wrapped up 2024 with a Holiday Bash, celebrating a year of remarkable achievements: ??The establishment of 5 new student chapters, bringing our total to 16. ??Successfully hosting 8 events centered on professional development and community building, with our final 3 events selling out. ??Hosting the largest Regional Student Symposium in the US, with 300 attendees and $85K in sponsorships. A big shoutout to our incoming Student Affairs Director of Events, Brian Almonaci, for leading this amazing initiative. We’re excited to continue empowering the next generation of Latino leaders in 2025.
